Dobie Maxwell Not So Lucky At Zanies

What did you guys do to Dobie Maxwell on Thursday night?

It seems Maxwell, a standup comedian who bills himself as 'Mr. Lucky', had a rough go of things at the Pheasant Run Zanies Comedy Club. He decided to share his feelings with the readers of his OnMilwaukee.com blog:

I got up there and started to hit them hard and bring them into my rhythm. I used all my years of experience to get them in my groove and I had some spots where they were with me but I never got on a really good roll and part of it was because they were just plain old STUPID. Some people say there are no bad audiences but once in a while there just are.

Maxwell has over 20 years of experience in standup. He teaches standup classes. He writes standup books. Ladies and gentlemen of Zanies' Thursday evening audience, this is a consummate professional you broke!

But guess what? Maxwell is doing four more shows this weekend (two Friday night, two Saturday night). So here's your chance to make amends. Go back there and give Mr. Lucky a hug!
