Walter's Birthday Blood Drive (Payton's Roundhouse)

The good folks at the Roundhouse in Aurora are keeping the spirit and memory of Walter Payton alive by hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, July 21, from 3pm to 7pm. The blood drive, held in observance of Walter's birthday on Saturday, July 25, will benefit the Heartland Blood Centers.

Donors will receive several considerations for their time and effort, including Walter Payton's root beer, Oberweis ice cream, and chances to win Roundhouse gift certificates.

If you aren't too lightheaded after your donation, stick around for the Midsummer Theatre Troupe's production of Shakespeare's "The Taming Of The Shrew." The play will be performed in the round in the Roundhouse courtyard beginning at 7pm. (Can't make it this week? They'll attempt to tame the shrew again next Tuesday, July 28, also at 7pm.)
